Thursday July 11th Bill pulled his carburetor  and blew out all the jets to try to solve his bike problem while Joe and I took advantage of Charle’s wifi to catch up with our posts and communications.

Bill does not have a carb problem so he thinks it’s an electrical problem so he is still limping, limited to 40mph up hill and 50mph on the flats. We left at 1:30 Thursday & traveled to Damascus VA, a rafting and biking outdoor adventure mountain town.  A coyote stared at me for a moment as I came around a corner of the trial then darted into the brush as we approached Damascus VA. We ate a Subway lunch, Joe bought a new mattress while we waited out a brief thunder storm.

Back into the mountains then southwest again toward down to Elizabethton TN (a depressed eastern TN town) where we stayed in a crummy Travelers Inn $67 but nice to be in sheets again. We locked the bikes up  together and walked over to a great Mexican place next door for dinner.
